The outcome of Radial Neck Fracture Treated with Closed/ Open Reduction and Retrograde Kirschner Wires Fixation in the Paediatric Age Group

چکیده
Background Radial neck fractures in children are rare injuries, representing 1 to 5% of all elbow pediatric fractures. Most them non-displaced or slightly displaced and treated conservatively. Severely angulated radial (Judet type III IV O’Brien fractures) requires surgical treatment.
Objective To study the clinical radiological outcomes following closed open reduction percutaneous intramedullary stabilization fracture children.
Method There were 24 with Judet II, who underwent retrograde Kirschner wires. Functional evaluated based on Mayo Elbow Performance Score.
Result The mean age patients was 8.42 ± 1.82 years boys 15(62.5%) girls 9(37.5%) number. An excellent result seen 5(20.8%) cases good results according performance score. Analyzing a passive active range motion, 5 had results, 15 4 fair compared normal side. Radiological evaluation showed healing alignment Ursei classification.
Conclusion Closed wires for provide few complications.

Metatarsal Fracture Reduction and Fixation by Kirschner Wires: Technical Tip
The incidence of metatarsal fractures is not precisely known. Malposition might cause future metatarsalgia, mid-foot pain and discomfort, which may dictate an on-going need for in-shoe orthosis, shoe modification and, occasionally, operative correction. To minimize and prevent these problems, we describe a simple technique for reduction and fixation of metatarsal fractures by Kirschner wires. W...
متن کاملFunctional Outcome of Internal Fixation of Radial and Ulna Fracture
Background: Displaced fractures of radius and ulna bones in adults are usually treated with open reduction and internal fixation. The purpose of this research was to access functional outcome of these fractures. Materials and Methods: In this research 52 Patients who underwent ORIF with DCP 3.5 in past 5 years were investigated. Post-operation protocol was one week immobilization and then acti...
متن کاملThe functional outcome of surgically treated unstable pelvic ring fractures by open reduction, internal fixation
Abstract Background: Unstable Pelvic fracture, a result of high energy antero-posterior compression injury, has been managed based on internal fixation and open reduction. The mode of fixation in Unstable Pelvic fracture has, however, been a subject of controversy and some authors have proposed a need to address the issue of partial breach of the pelvic ring elements in these injuries. This st...
متن کاملOutcome of Closed and Open Reduction with Cross Pinning Fixation, for Displaced Supracondylar Humeral Fracture
ABSTRACT Introduction: In areas where intraoperative radiography facilities are not available, open reduction is an acceptable treatment option for fracture treatment. The aim of this investigation was to compare the outcomes of closed reduction to open reduction with cross-pinning fixation in Gartland Type III supracondylar humeral fracture extensions. Methods: In this retrospective study, clo...
متن کاملThe Outcomes of Pilon Fracture Treatment: Primary Open Reduction and Internal Fixation Versus Twostage Approach
Background: Pilon fracture is one of the challenging injuries in orthopedic surgery. Associated soft tissue injury is animportant factor in choosing treatment options. Two major methods of treatment are considered as one-stage openreduction internal fixation (ORIF) and two-stage treatment (primary external fixation and secondary ORIF). The latter ismost accepted in literature. In the current st...
